Bacon was an erudite man who also published a collection of the laws of
Maryland in 1765 and who belonged to Annapolis's Tuesday Club, where he
assumed the identity of "Signior Lardini," performed and composed music for
the club, and whose Tuesday Club "portrait" (as Signior Lardini) can be
found in Alexander Hamilton, The History of the Ancient and Honorable
Tuesday Club, edited by Robert Micklus (Chapel Hill, 1990), II:  227.
